Waqas departs, as does Thomason, Patel & Hague.

After 4 amazing seasons with the club Waqas Hussain has decided to leave the club. With a change in circumstances with work Waxy could no longer commit to being the clubs pro for 2022.

Waxy has been a huge part of the clubs success over the last 4 seasons which saw us promoted from Cambs & Hunts Premier to East Anglian Premier League Champions in 2021. Waqas formed a formidable opening partnership alongside our recently departed long standing overseas Matthew Hague,

Waqas’ performance for the club have been instrumental in our progression & he will be greatly missed on & off the pitch.

Waxy SBCC stats:

76 matches

40 AVG

10 50s & 9 100s

Highest score of 150

Best bowling figures 4/13

Also leaving the club from 2021 is Aaron Thomason & Rishi Patel. Both players played a key roles in our maiden EAPL title, thank you to both players for all their efforts in 2021.

We have also been informed by new signing Harrison Craig that he will not be available for selection in 2022. He has decided to take a gap year in Australia which will take him through this summer and next winter. We are of course disappointed to not see Harrison represent the club this summer but we hope to see him in 2023.
