Interview with new signing Nathan Buck!

Interview with our latest signing Nathan Buck about joining SBCC for 2022:

Are you excited to be joining for 2022?
Yeah 100%, I am really looking forward to getting to stuck in on and off the pitch, keen to see how I can help the team and how we can win games together!

What do you know about the team and the club?
I know the team is very successful over last few years and that’s really attractive to play for a successful team, and if I can add on the continued winning streak then happy days!.

I have spoke to a few people and the progression the club has made locally has been impressive, so if I can continue to assist that progression, whether that be on the pitch or off it then brilliant!

How much can we expect to see you this season?
I am not sure right now but I am really keen to play as much as I can and as much as my schedule allows! The goal is to be with the club long term so it would be great to have a real positive impact in 2022.

What will you bring to the team?
Hopefully plenty of runs and wickets which gives us platform to win games.  Also teach a the lads a few things whether that be the boys in the team or the juniors coming through.

What does your winter & pre-season look like?
I am currently in Melbourne and will have played 8 games before returning home.  It’s been going really well over here which great! 

When I get back with Northants we have a preseason tour to Singapore to help us prepare for the start of season.  I am trying to do all I can to be in the best place possible to be physically and mentally for the first game on April 7th.
