THE RAMS & GRIFFS Summer 2024 Subscription

This summer we are looking to run training sessions for all ages, including a mini section for 3 & 4 year olds, together with running teams at various ages for those who wish to play in matches against other clubs.

This summer will see the continuation of “The Griffs” our girls section, we are looking to run girls only sessions at most age groups and run at least one girls team.

 Please find details for the coming months listed below. NB there will be no training sessions during the summer half-term week. (Monday 27^th May to Friday 31^st May or on Friday 28^th June.) 

In addition to the sessions below we also intend to run camps during the Summer school holidays. Please see the separate note regarding these sessions.  For the Rams & Griffs Juniors we also intend to hold practice games during the summer holidays. Details will follow later.

 As part of our programme for young people, we are again taking part in the ECB’s exciting Cricket All Stars Programme for 5 to 8 year olds and the Dynamos Programme for 9 &10 year olds who are either new to cricket or have previously been All-Stars, for full details on these programmes visit www.allstarscricket.co.uk & www.dynamoscricket.co.uk

For the Rams & Griffs Juniors & Colts this year the donation will be £55 per child and covers the summers’ match fees, use of the ground and pavilion, and all training throughout the summer.

Summer Activity

Rams & Griffs Minis 3 & 4 Year Olds (Pre-School)

This season we will be running Mini Rams which will provide fun activities for 3 & 4 year olds. These sessions will start on Friday 3rd May 2024 at Spicers Sports Field, New Road, Sawston. The sessions will run from 5:15 to 6.00pm. Rams & Griffs All-Stars 5 to 8 Year Olds (Reception & School Years 1, 2 & 3)

This season we will be taking part in the ECB’s All Stars Cricket Programme which will give a fun introduction to cricket for 5 to 8 year olds. These sessions will start on Friday 3^rd May 2024 at Spicers Sports Field, New Road, Sawston. The sessions will run from 5:15 to 6.00pm. The cost for these sessions will be £52.50 payable to the ECB, your child will receive a shirt, bag & bat. Full details can be found at www.allstarscricket.co.uk

Rams & Griffs  Dynamos 9 & 10 Year Olds (School Years 4 & 5)

 This season we will be taking part in the ECB’s Dynamos Cricket Programme which will be ideal for those who have taken part in All-Stars Cricket and wish to continue and will also give a fun introduction to cricket for 9 & 10 year olds who are taking part for the first time. These sessions will start on Friday 3rd May 2024 at Spicers Sports Field, New Road, Sawston. The sessions will run from 6:15 to 7.15pm. This year we are running a girls only group plus a mixed gender group, you can decide which group your child attends. The cost for these sessions will be £52.50 payable to the ECB, your child will receive a shirt. Full details can be found at www.dynamoscricket.co.uk

 Rams & Griffs Juniors - Under 11, 12 & 13s (School Years 6, 7 & 8)

Training for this season’s U11, 12 & 13s (Years 6,7&8) will start on Friday 19th April 2024 at Spicers Sports Field, New Road, Sawston. This group may also be suitable for children who are younger than Years 6,7&8 who have more experience of cricket and wish to play with a hard ball this season. The sessions will run from 6:15 to 7.30pm. Sessions will run throughout the school summer term. Rams & Griffs Colts - Under 14,15,16 & 17s (School Years 9,10,11 & 12)

Training for this season’s U 14,15,16 & 17s (Years 9,10,11 & 12) will start on Monday 15^th April 2024 at Spicers Sports Field, New Road, Sawston. The sessions will run from 6:00 to 7.30pm. Sessions will run throughout the school summer term. The cost for these sessions will be £55 for the summer payable to Sawston & Babraham CC. via on-line registration at

Club Kit

Those children taking part in either Rams All-Stars or Rams Dynamos will receive kit from the ECB as part of the registration process. For those taking part in the Rams Juniors & Colts we request that you purchase a minimum of a playing shirt & cap at our club shop.
